The Committee on Justice and Equality launched a report on reform of the family law system in Leinster House yesterday.

The Committee held a series of public meetings with stakeholder groups during the year. It concluded that the family law system requires fundamental and ambitious reform.

The report contains a number of recommendations, with particular regard to the family court structure, specialisation, transparency, resources, the voice of the child and the imbalances within the court system.
