The first proposals for nominations to the 26th Seanad vocational panels have been received by the Seanad returning officer.
The nominations are posted on the railings of Leinster House on Kildare Street and on the Oireachtas website at www.oireachtaas.ie/seanad2020.
Candidates for the vocational panels are nominated by registered nominating bodies and Members of the newly elected Dáil or outgoing Seanad.
The Returning Officer will complete the panels of candidates on Monday, 9 March and polling will close on 30 March. The vocational panel election will return 43 of the 60 Members of the Seanad.
