The Seanad nominating bodies have proposed 80 nominees for election to the five vocational panels of the 26th Seanad.
The deadline for nominating bodies to propose nominations to the five vocational panels of the 26th Seanad was Monday, 24 February. Members of the Oireachtas have until 12 noon on Monday, 2 March to propose their nominations to the vocational panels.
When all the proposals have been received, the Seanad Returning Officer will complete the panels of candidates and issue the ballot papers for the election. Polling will close at 11am on Monday, 30 March and the count will begin shortly afterwards.
