This month the Oireachtas Library is displaying a document related to Ireland’s showing at the 1932 summer Olympic Games.

The document was laid before the Houses and shows a grant of £1,000 from the Department of Finance to support the Irish team. A team of eight athletes travelled to Los Angeles to compete in the games and brought home two gold medals.

The Library’s monthly display continues to be virtual while many staff continue to work from home.

To find out more, visit the digital exhibition of the documents in the display case.
