A new mentorship programme seeks to unlock new paths to personal, professional and organisational development for the staff of the Houses of the Oireachtas.

As part of its People and Organisational Development, POD, initiative to enhance the capabilities of individuals within the Houses of the Oireachtas Service while fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth, the recently launched mentorship programme will seek to bring about professional development of staff and drive organisational excellence.

Overseen by Assistant Secretary Mellissa English and operated by a POD subgroup, the programme will match mentors to mentees in order to facilitate a connection for both that focuses on professional development, knowledge sharing, organisational integration and supportive relationships.

The POD mentorship programme for 2024 to 2025 was formally launched in September, attended by programme participants, members of the management board and other guests.
