At the start of the new year for our Learning Hub, students from across the country took part in a week-long programme in Leinster House to gain an insight into life as a Member and what it is like working in the Civil Service.
Taking place between between 13 January and 17 January and hosted by the Parliamentary Education Officer, Dr. Conor Reale, and his team, this learning programme involved students from schools in 11 counties. The 27 students also worked as a team to put together a presentation that was shared at the end of the week.
During their visit to Leinster House on Wednesday, 12 TDs from the students' constituencies also visited the workshop, giving the students insight into their work as public representatives and sharing their experience of being newly elected to the Dáil.
