On Saturday the institutions in Luxembourg and Brussels will celebrate Europe Day 2026, which marks the signing of the Schuman Declaration that was foundational to the formation of the European Union, by opening their doors and inviting citizens to engage in a range of activities.
This week there will also be discussion on the future enlargement of the European Union, with the Foreign Affairs Committee evaluating the progress being made by Albania and Montenegro towards membership of the Union. The committee will also discuss with Ukrainian parliamentarians the current state of affairs in Ukraine in the context of that country's path towards EU membership.
