The gates of Leinster House will be opened to welcome in 1,650 members of the public for an evening of culture and entertainment in the historic surroundings of the Irish Parliament, tomorrow Friday 21 September from 5.00 pm to 11.00 pm.

20 September 2012

The unique occasion takes place as part of the nationwide Culture Night Festival.

Visitors will enjoy guided tours which take in the Dáil and Seanad Chambers and explore the historic corridors of Leinster House.  Musical entertainment will be provided on the night by accomplished ladies barbershop group “Ireland Unlimited”.

The Houses of the Oireachtas are once again delighted to participate in this nationwide event.  This year Leinster House will be one of over 150 venues across the city taking part in Culture Night.  Since the start of August, 1,650 members of the public have visited the Oireachtas website www.oireachtas.ie to reserve their tickets and the event is now fully booked.

This is the fifth year in which the Houses of the Oireachtas have participated in Culture Night. Since the Oireachtas’ involvement 4 years ago, 6,000 people have passed through the doors of Leinster House on Culture Night.
