Committee Chair, Róisín Shortall TD, said “It is the Committee’s aim to make recommendations on the future of healthcare in Ireland and examine and cost potential future models. This Interim Report now sets out a road map for how we will go about our aim. To achieve the Committee’s aims and objectives this Interim Report lists 12 individual work streams and key issues which the Committee believes will be necessary to address, in the course of its work.”

“We have before us a unique opportunity for cross-party consensus in developing a coherent and meaningful healthcare strategy which can be implemented over the next ten years. As a Committee we look forward to continuing our work, engaging with the relevant stakeholders and grasping this opportunity. We also look forward to debating this Interim Report in the Dáil chamber at the earliest possible opportunity.”
