The Joint Committee on the Future Funding of Domestic Water Services held its first meeting today, Tuesday, 13 December 2016

Chairman of the Committee Pádraig Ó Céidigh: “The Committee held its first meeting today when we discussed a framework and schedule for all committee meetings for the next three months as well as an outline of discussion areas and overall strategy and purpose for all meetings. The meeting was business-like, professional and productive and I’d like to thank the Members for their input and contributions. We also heard from Kevin Duffy, the Chairman of the Expert Commission, who provided Committee members with an outline presentation of the Expert Commission’s report. The Joint Committee will consider the report of the Expert Commission on the Future Funding of Domestic Water Services and report with recommendations to both Houses of the Oireachtas.”
