Future of Healthcare Committee to discuss health service reform with Private Hospitals Association

16 Jan 2017, 17:14

The Oireachtas Committee on the Future of Healthcare will meet with representatives from the Private Hospitals Association tomorrow, Wednesday. 18 January 2017 as part of its hearings on health service reform.

Chair of the Committee, Roisin Shortall, says: “The Private Hospitals Association (PHA) is the representative body for the independently-funded hospital sector in Ireland. There is a substantial privately-owned health infrastructure in Ireland with private hospitals providing a range of services. Our meeting tomorrow with representatives of the Private Hospitals Association will provide members with an opportunity to get their perspective on future health policy and how they see private hospitals operating within any potential new model for health care in Ireland.”

This meeting will take place in Committee Room 3, Leinster House from 10 am on Wednesday, 18 January 2017.

Committee proceedings can be viewed live here.

Committee proceedings can also be viewed on the move, through the Houses of the Oireachtas Smartphone App, available for Apple and Android devices.
