Business, Enterprise & Innovation Committee to discuss Cost of doing Business in Ireland

11 Dec 2017, 11:45

The Joint Committee on Business, Enterprise and Innovation will meet tomorrow at 4pm in CR4, Leinster House.

Representatives from the Irish Farmers Association, Restaurants Association Ireland and Construction Federation Ireland will appear before the Committee.

Speaking ahead of the meeting, Committee Chair, Mary Butler TD, said, “Tomorrow is the fourth in our series of meetings on the cost of doing business in Ireland. Our witnesses will engage with us on issues like commercial rates, production costs and minimum pay rates. The Committee hopes to gain valuable insight into the impediments to business growth, as well as hear practical suggestions as to how we, as legislators, can assist in fostering infrastructure investment in all regions in order to stimulate activity and to benefit local as well as national economies.”
