The arts – whether it is music, art, dance, literature or theatre – can have an uplifting effect on people’s lives, whether it is through appreciation or participation and is integral to society. Not only do the arts provide enjoyment, it is now widely recognised that exposure to the Arts is central to the development of many life skills, including creativity, creative thinking, harnessing the full value of modern technology, confidence, motor skills, co-operation and communication. Therefore it is vital that the arts and culture are accessible and available to all. On Wednesday we will hear from a wide range of organisations to discuss access to the arts for all.”
