Justice Committee to discuss future of policing with Minister for Justice and Equality

The Joint Committee on Justice and Equality will discuss the findings of the Commission on the Future of Policing in Ireland with Justice Minister Charles Flanagan TD on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at 9 a.m.

“The publication of The Future of Policing in Ireland has provided the Committee with much food for thought,” said Committee Chairman Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin TD.

“Following our recent discussions with Kathleen O’Toole, Chairperson of the Commission on the Future of Policing in Ireland, the Committee looks forward to exploring the report’s key recommendations and the rationale behind them with the Minister for Justice and Equality.”
