Justice Committee to explore rights, equality issues related to Brexit

The Joint Committee on Justice and Equality will consider the potential implications of Brexit on the observation and enforcement of human rights and equality standards at its meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 9 a.m.

Scheduled witnesses include

  • Professor Colin Harvey, School of Law at Queen’s University Belfast
  • Brian Gormally, director of the Committee on the Administration of Justice
  • Les Allamby, chief commissioner of the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission
  • Emily Logan, chief commissioner of the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission
