Irish Language Committee to discuss Bilingual Services in the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine

The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine will appear before the Joint Committee on the Irish Language, the Gaeltacht and the Islands on Tuesday when it meets to discuss objectives of the organisation regarding its Irish language and bilingual services.

Speaking in advance of the meeting, Committee Chair, Catherine Connolly TD, said, “The Committee welcomes the opportunity to engage with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine on their aims regarding Irish language and bilingual services.Members will be particularly interested to hear how the organisation plans to promote greater use of the Irish language.”

The meeting will start at 4pm in Committee Room 4, Leinster House.
