The Joint Committee on Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform, and Taoiseach will meet on two occasions this week, beginning tomorrow (Tuesday) with representatives from Permanent TSB and Allied Irish Banks Ltd, due before the Committee.

Mr Jeremy Masding, Chief Executive Officer, of Permanent TSB will tomorrow come before the Committee at 2pm in Committee Room 3 with Dr. Colin Hunt, Chief Executive Officer of Allied Irish Banks Ltd, appearing Committee Room 2 on Thursday at 9.30am.

Both of these meetings, will continue discussions on Matters in relation to the Banking Sector, and in advance of these meetings, Committee Chairman John McGuinness TD said:  “At our meetings, the Committee will hear from PTSB and AIB, and explore issues such as future strategy, lending practices, mortgage interest rates and regulatory requirements in the banking sector overall.”
