PAC to examine the Central Statistics Office & Comptroller & Auditor General accounts

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) will meet tomorrow to consider the following items:

Session 1: Appropriation Accounts 2017 Vote 4 - Central Statistics Office
Representatives from the Central Statistics Office

Session 2: Appropriation Accounts 2017 Vote 8 - Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General
Representatives from the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General

Session 3: Matters in relation to the National Paediatric Hospital Development Board Financial Statements 2017 Financial Statements 2017

Chairman of the PAC, Seán Fleming TD, said today, “The first part of our meeting tomorrow will focus on the CSO and Members will have questions around the quality of recorded crime data and statistics. In part two, the Committee will examine the accounts of the C&AG. This will be the first time the PAC will have examined these accounts in several decades.”

“In the final part of the meeting, Professor Chris Fitzpatrick will brief the Committee on issues around the development of the NCH, including funding and maternity co-location.”

The meeting will start at 9am in Committee Room 3
