Joint Committee on Transport, Tourism & Sport welcomes publication of FAI report

The Committee will examine this report, its findings and recommendations, and the requirement for fundamental change and reform with a view to improving better and more effective governance structures within the FAI.

The Chairman of the Joint Committee, Committee Chairman Fergus O’Dowd TD, said: “The Committee welcomes the publication of the report which follows on from the work of the Committee members who helped to shine a light on governance within the FAI.

Deputy O’Dowd added: “The committee will hold a further public meeting with Sport Ireland within the next month in relation to governance and oversight maters associated with the FAI. We hope publication of this report and actions arising will lead to a new era for the FAI.”
