The Joint Committee on Transport, Tourism & Sport will meet tomorrow, Wednesday, at 11am in Committee Room 4, Leinster House to meet Friends of Irish Athletics.
Friends of Irish Athletics are a group of former all-Ireland medal winners in athletics who will appear before the committee to discuss the representation of Irish athletes in international competition.
Ahead of the meeting, the Chairman of the Joint Committee, Committee Chairman Fergus O’Dowd TD, said: “The Committee is well aware of the positive impact of Athletics, and the wonderful people who work in communities, with clubs and runners of all ages both recreationally and competitively across Ireland. We look forward to Wednesday’s meeting and to get their views.”
