Joint Committee on Foreign Affairs, Trade and Defence to be briefed by Tánaiste on work of Foreign Affairs Council

The Joint Committee on Foreign Affairs, Trade and Defence will meet the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Simon Coveney TD tomorrow (Thursday) at 2pm in Committee Room 1, Leinster House to discuss the recent work of the EU Foreign Affairs Council.

Speaking ahead of Thursday’s meeting, Committee Chairman Brendan Smith TD said: “This meeting is an opportunity for Members to hear from Minister Coveney about the important discussions of the Foreign Affairs Council of Ministers. Members are interested in hearing about the Council’s deliberations on the situation in the Middle East, particularly in Yemen and the Persian Gulf, and developments in the Asia-Pacific region.”
