The Joint Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform, and Taoiseach will meet on two occasions this week, commencing tomorrow at 2pm.

Tuesday’s meeting in Committee Room 3 at 2pm will see the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform Secretary General Robert Watt discussing certain matters within the remit of his Department.

On Thursday at 10am in Committee Room 2, Central Bank Governor Gabriel Makhlouf, will appear as part of the ongoing engagement with the Bank.

It will be the Governor’s first meeting with the Committee.

In advance of these meetings, Committee Chairman John McGuinness TD said: “The appearance of the Secretary General of Department of Public Expenditure and Reform, and the Governor of the Central Bank of Ireland in the same week to discuss separate issues will be invaluable. Both organisations have a significant remit, and we have a wide range of topics to discuss.”
