Joint Committee on Housing, Planning and Local Government to meet with Minister English to discuss Report of the Expert Group on Traveller Accommodation

Speaking ahead of the meeting at 9.30am in Committee Room 1, Leinster House, Committee Chairman Noel Rock TD said: “The Traveller Accommodation Expert Group was established in 2018 to review the Traveller Accommodation Act 1998 and other legislation impacting on the provision and delivery of accommodation for Travellers. Members of the Expert Group briefed the Committee last month on their work and their recommendations.  We now look forward to hearing from Minister English on how the Department intends to implement the Expert Group’s report and the next steps it intends to take.”

The Deputies and Senators will also consider the Planning and Development (Amendment) Regulations 2019 with Minister English.
