11 Dec 2019, 14:22

The Joint Committee on Housing, Planning and Local Government will meet tomorrow (Thursday) with the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government, Eoghan Murphy TD, for a quarterly update on Rebuilding Ireland – Action Plan for Housing and Homelessness.

Speaking ahead of the meeting at 9.30am in Committee Room 1, Leinster House, Committee Chairman Noel Rock TD said: “The Committee welcomes this opportunity to discuss progress to date with Minister Murphy since Rebuilding Ireland was launched more than three years ago. It is critical we tackle the twin crises of homelessness and high rents caused by the shortage of housing supply. Members look forward to hearing the latest figures on the delivery of social and affordable homes and private housing this year and plans for 2020 and beyond.”
