During his visit to Leinster House, President Pavlopoulos, accompanied by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kostas Vlasis, also met with the Leas-Chathaoirleach of Seanad Éireann, Senator Paul Coghlan.

Speaking following today’s meeting, the Ceann Comhairle, Seán Ó Fearghaíl said: “It was a great honour to meet with President Pavloupoulos today and to have the opportunity to welcome him and his delegation to Leinster House.  Greece and Ireland have long enjoyed excellent bi-lateral relations and I welcomed the opportunity to discuss matters of mutual interest and concern.

“Recognising our links and commonalities were common themes of our constructive engagement this afternoon. We discussed Brexit and enhancing and strengthening our relationship in the coming years to the benefit of both countries, particularly at parliamentary level.”
