The Oireachtas Special Committee on Covid-19 Response will hear from the World Health Organisation’s Special Envoy on Covid-19, Dr. David Nabarro, tomorrow, Thursday, 11 June in Leinster House.
Dr. Nabarro will appear in the Dáil Chamber via video link from the World Health Organisation’s headquarters in Geneva at 9.30am.
Speaking before the meeting, Committee chairman, Michael McNamara TD said: “This is a chance for the Committee to get a situation update from the World Health Organisation on the Covid-19 pandemic.
“It’s an opportune time to examine the most up to date public health advice from WHO, in areas like social distancing, face masks and coverings, and the latest research on the best ways to respond and mitigate the impact of the virus in the absence of a cure or vaccine.”
