Committee of Public Accounts (PAC) to discuss work programme at first meeting

The Committee of Public Accounts (PAC) will meet for the first time in the 33rd Dáil tomorrow, Thursday, 17 September, at 4.30pm in the Seanad Chamber.

The Committee of Public Accounts (PAC) will meet for the first time in the 33rd Dáil tomorrow, Thursday, 17 September, at 4.30pm in the Seanad Chamber.

The Committee will hear an introductory statement from the Comptroller and Auditor General, who will outline his role and how his work relates to the work of the Committee.

The meeting will then go into private session to discuss the business of the Committee, including its work programme.

The PAC is a standing committee of Dáil Éireann under Standing Order 218 and focuses on ensuring public services are run efficiently and achieve value for money.

Deputy Brian Stanley is Chairman of the Committee which consists of 13 Members.
