Committee of Public Accounts to discuss C&AG’s accounts and report for Office of Public Works

The Committee of Public Accounts (PAC) will meet tomorrow, Wednesday, 11 November, to consider the Comptroller and Auditor General’s 2019 Appropriation Accounts and Chapter 6 from his 2018 report with the Office of Public Works.

Chaired by Deputy Brian Stanley, the meeting at 4.30pm in Committee Room 3 of Leinster House will hear from the C&AG, Seamus McCarthy, followed by OPW Chairman Maurice Buckley and officials.

The accounts and report to be examined are:

Deputy Stanley said: “The OPW is responsible for maintaining more than 2,300 properties across the country, many of which are occupied by Government departments and other State bodies. The Committee looks forward to engaging with the officials from the OPW on its accounts and related matters.”

The PAC is a standing committee of Dáil Éireann which focuses on ensuring public services are run efficiently and achieve value for money.
