The Cathaoirleach of Seanad Eireann and Vice Chair of the Parliamentary Friendship Groups in Leinster House, Senator Mark Daly along with Congressman Richard Neal will celebrate the long and enduring friendship between Ireland and the United States when he speaks at a webinar today Wednesday 10 March 2021 to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the American Irish Legislators Society of New York. Congressman Richard Neal is Chair of the Ways and Means Committee and Chair of the Friends of Ireland Caucus.
Speaking in advance of the webinar the Cathaoirleach said: “In the lead up to St Patrick’s Day, Ireland and our people are showcased throughout the world and as Cathaoirleach of Seanad Eireann, I am delighted to speak at this event being attending by legislators from both sides of the Atlantic. President Biden has declared March to be Irish American Heritage Month which further demonstrates the depth of affection between our 2 nations. I am honoured to be sharing the platform with Congressman Neal who has always and continues to be a great friend of Ireland.”
