The Joint Committee on the Implementation of the Good Friday Agreement will meet members of the Working Group on Unification Referendums on the Island of Ireland in the Seanad Chamber, tomorrow, Tuesday, 30 March at 6.30pm.
Project chair Dr Alan Renwick, University College London and Working Group colleagues; Prof Chris McCrudden, Queen’s University Belfast; Prof Brendan O'Leary, University of Pennsylvania; Dr Etain Tannam, Trinity College Dublin and Dr David Kenny, Trinity College Dublin will attend the meeting virtually.
Speaking before the meeting, Committee Chairman Fergus O’Dowd TD said: “The Working Group is examining how any future referendum on the constitutional status of Northern Ireland would be best designed and conducted.
“The Committee welcomes this opportunity to engage with these experts and discuss their work on the project to date and explore the findings and recommendations in an interim report, recently published by the group.”
