Budgetary Oversight Committee to discuss capital investment with Department of Public Expenditure and Reform

The Committee on Budgetary Oversight will meet officials from the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform (DPER) tomorrow, Thursday, 1 July to discuss capital investment.

The meeting will take place in Committee Room 1 at 9.30am.

Officials from DPER; Ronnie Downes, Assistant Secretary, Central Expenditure Policy and Reporting Division; Kevin Meaney, Principal Officer, National Investment Office; Clare Costello, Principal Officer, Housing Vote; Niamh Callaghan, Principal Officer, Transport Vote  and Jim Deane, Principal Officer, Health Vote will appear virtually before the Committee for the discussion.

Committee Cathaoirleach Neasa Hourigan TD said: “The Committee welcomes this engagement to discuss aggregate capital allocations including DPERs remit in monitoring and reporting on capital spending within individual Votes including the Housing Vote, the Transport Vote and the Health Vote, Phase 1 of the National Development Plan, and the implementation, oversight and capacity for capital investment.”
