The Committee on Budgetary Oversight will meet Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe and Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform Michael McGrath tomorrow morning to discuss the Summer Economic Statement (SES).
The meeting will take place in Committee Room 4 at 9.30am.
Speaking before the meeting Cathaoirleach of the Committee Neasa Hourigan TD said: “The Summer Economic Statement sets out a budgetary framework within which Budget 2022 can be delivered. The ability of Oireachtas Committees to provide suitable oversight to these documents and to engage with the budgetary process in a timely manner cannot be overstated. The Committee welcomes the attendance of Minister Donohoe and Minister McGrath to discuss the Statement as part of the pre-budget scrutiny process.”
