Education Committee to discuss reopening of further and higher education institutions in safe and sustainable way with Minister Harris and Minister of State Collins

The Joint Committee on Education, Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science will meet tomorrow, Thursday, 22 July, with Minister Simon Harris and Minister of State Niall Collins to discuss the reopening of further and higher education institutions in a safe and sustainable way.

The meeting at 12:30 pm with the Minister for Education, Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science and the Minister of State at the Department of Education, Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science will be broadcast from Committee Room 2 of Leinster House.

Speaking in advance of the meeting, Cathaoirleach, Paul Kehoe TD, said: “The Joint Committee welcomes this timely opportunity to discuss the reopening of further and higher education institutions in a safe and sustainable way with Minister Harris and Minister of State Collins. It is of crucial importance that college campuses can reopen so that students can have a normal college experience, learning and mixing together again while feeling safe.”

The Joint Committee on Education, Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science has 14 Members, nine from the Dáil and five from the Seanad.
