The Committee on Budgetary Oversight will meet Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform Michael McGrath, tomorrow, Thursday, 30 September as part of its pre-Budget engagement process.
The meeting will take place in Leinster House, Committee Room 1 at 9.30am.
Speaking before the meeting, Committee Cathaoirleach Neasa Hourigan TD said: “The Committee met with the Minister for Finance, last week to discuss Budget 2022. Tomorrow’s meeting is an opportunity for Members to meet with the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform to discuss spending pressures ahead of Budget Day.
“The cost of climate change which was discussed in the Committee’s Interim Pre-Budget Report, in addition to housing and Sláintecare are some of the major budget priorities the Committee wants to discuss with the Minister.”
