Joint Committee on Transport and Communications to discuss Road Traffic and Roads Bill 2021, and Disability and Transport

The Joint Committee on Transport and Communications will meet tomorrow, Wednesday, 19 January, to discuss the Road Traffic and Roads Bill 2021, and Disability and Transport.

The meeting at 1.30pm in Committee Room 2 of Leinster House will hear from representatives of the National Council for the Blind Ireland, the Irish Wheelchair Association and the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy Kieran O’Donnell said: “Concerns have been raised about aspects of this Bill and how they affect people with disabilities or visual impairments. The Committee looks forward to discussing these concerns and related matters around disability and transport with these stakeholders.”

The Joint Committee on Transport and Communications has 14 Members, nine from the Dáil and five from the Seanad.
