Joint Committee on Housing, Local Government and Heritage to review progress on Interim Report on Homelessness

The Joint Committee on Housing, Local Government and Heritage will meet tomorrow, Tuesday, 8 February, to review of progress in relation to the Committee's Interim Report on Homelessness.

The meeting at 3pm in Committee Room 3 of Leinster House will be split into two sessions to hear from:

Session 1, 3pm-5pm.

  • Officials from the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage;
  • Representatives from Dublin Region Homeless Executive (DRHE);
  • Sinéad Breathnach, Local Authorities Homeless Lead for the South East Region, Waterford City and County Council;
  • Ivan Grimes, Director of Services, Housing, Community and Emergency, Services, Waterford City and County Council.

Session 2, 5pm-6pm.

  • Representatives from Simon Communities of Ireland;
  • Representatives from Focus Ireland;
  • Louisa Santoro, The Mendicity Institution;
  • Dr Una Burns, Novas.

The Joint Committee on Housing, Local Government and Heritage, chaired by Deputy Steven Matthews, has 14 Members, nine from the Dáil and five from the Seanad.
