Good Friday Committee to meet with representatives from East Border Region

The Joint Committee on the Implementation of the Good Friday Agreement chaired by Deputy Fergus O’Dowd will meet today, Thursday March 10th, with representatives from East Border Region.

 

The meeting will take place in Committee Room 1 of Leinster House between 13:30 - 16:30.

Formed in 1976, East Border Region is a local authority-led cross-border network. This network comprises six local authorities with a total population of 826,000. These are: Newry, Mourne and Down District Council; Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council; Ards and North Down Borough Council; Louth County Council; Monaghan County Council; and Meath County Council.

The following representatives are due to attend the meeting:

·        Chief Executive of East Border Region, Pamela Arthurs

·        Chairman of East Border Region, Michelle Hall

·        Vice Chairman of East Border Region, Robert Burgess

·        Programme Manager of East Border Region, Dette Hughes
