Joint Committee on Children, Equality, Disability, Integration & Youth call for public submissions on the General Scheme of the Mother and Baby Institutions Payment Scheme

The purpose of this General Scheme is to provide for the making of financial payments and the making available without charge of certain health services to certain people who were resident in certain institutions under the Mother and Baby Institutions Payment Scheme.

It will also provide for access to certain evidence received by, and certain documents created by or for, the commission of investigation established by the Commission of Investigation into Mother and Baby Homes and certain related Matters.

The Committee is inviting written submissions from Members of the Public, Stakeholders and interested parties here.

Submissions can be sent by e-mail to MBIPS@oireachtas.ie. The closing date for receipt of submissions is 1pm on Friday May 06th 2022.
