The Joint Committee on Education, Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science meets to discuss the Education needs of visually impaired students in Primary and Post-Primary Education

The Joint Committee on Education, Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science will meet in 2 sessions tomorrow, Tuesday 15th October at 11am in Committee Room 2 to discuss the Education needs of visually impaired students in Primary and Post-Primary Education.

The meeting in 2 sessions will hear from:

Session 1

11am -12:30pm

·       Representatives from Vision Ireland - Children and Young Person’s Team

·       Representatives from FÉACH

·       Representatives from Childvision

·       Dr Patricia McCarthy, Trinity College Dublin (TCD)

·       A Tertiary Level Student from Maynooth University

 

In Session 2 from 12:30pm, the Committee will then be briefed by officials from the Department of Education.
