The Joint Committee on Health will meet tomorrow, Wednesday, 5th November for engagement on long-term planning in the health service with officials from the Department of Health and the HSE at 9:30am in Committee Room 2 of Leinster House.
Speaking ahead of the meeting, Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy Pádraig Rice said “Among the topics that the Committee is expected to consider are health services within the context of population changes. In the years ahead, major demographic changes are projected, and the State must prepare for this now – in particular, the health service.
“We will also seek details on various capital health projects and other areas of investment in the health service.”
