Joint Committee on Education and Youth to hear update on Implementation of National Youth Strategy 2024-2028 from Department of Education and Youth

The Joint Committee on Education and Youth will meet tomorrow, Thursday, 5 February, to hear an update on Implementation of the National Youth Strategy entitled ‘Opportunities for Youth: National Strategy for Youth Work and Related Services 2024-2028 from officials from the Department of Education and Youth.

Ahead of the meeting at 9:30am in Committee Room 1 of Leinster House, Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy Cathal Crowe said: “Opportunities for Youth: National Strategy for Youth Work and Related Services 2024-2028 sets out Ireland’s key policy ambitions for youth work and the services provided to young people.

Last November, the Committee met with stakeholders representing young people and who provide youth services. Members now look forward to a comprehensive update on the implementation of Opportunities for Youth and how it can make a real difference to young people’s lives.”

The Joint Committee on Education on Youth, chaired by Deputy Cathal Crowe, has 14 Members, nine from the Dáil and five from the Seanad.
