Joint Committee on Climate, Environment and Energy meets for engagement with the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland

Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy Naoise Ó Muirí TD said “We welcome the SEAI to the meeting today. The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) is Ireland’s national energy authority, operating under the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications. 
“The SEAI is a key delivery body for Ireland’s Climate Action Plan, working to cut greenhouse gas emissions by driving the transition away from fossil fuels and we look forward to discussing the challenges facing the country with those attending. 
“We will also look for insight into SEAI’s core remit into making Ireland’s energy use cleaner, more secure and more affordable. We will look for information on the grant schemes for home energy upgrades, community energy projects and business supports through programmes like the Better Energy Homes Scheme and the Community Energy Grant.”
