within the remit of the health services are concerned with prevention firstly, secondly, diagnosis and treatment...Under the new Regulations, which replace Regulations made in 1979, advertisements and packages of cigarettes...front and back of packages and will occupy an increased area of the package as will the warning on advertisements...In addition to these Regulations, I intend, shortly, to introduce a new Tobacco (Health Protection) Bill...treatment of cancer.

The Bill is very simple and I cannot see why it cannot be accepted....Cancer patients are being attacked from every angle....At the moment, cancer patients cannot even get carer's allowance....I know of three or four cancer patients in St....We must examine the wider issues surrounding cancer care.

Government is serious about drafting alternative legislation in this area, why will it not allow this Bill...To reject it outright does no service to current and future cancer patients....previous speakers, shows that where medicines are available to the greatest extent possible, the lives of cancer...It appears to me that by rejecting this Bill, we are insinuating that we are rejecting the European approvals...The Bill gives total scope to the Minister of the day.

I want to have every modern medicine for cancer made available but I also want to ensure modern medicine...The statement of the Minister of State refers to a Bill that will include all variations....I want to wait until the Bill is before us....The Minister of State said that the health (pricing and supply of medical goods) Bill will be brought...In cancer treatment, medicine is one aspect but cancer care is another.
