3 May 2005 - The definition is built around a medical model of disability and we have further definitions of disability...amendment aimed to move the definition away from these two definitions in the Special Educational Needs Act 2004...I still feel that the Minister of State should re-examine the definition of disability in the Bill because...I understand the considerable amount of work that has gone into the Bill....However, it does not necessarily mean that those who worked on the Bill got it right.
