    24 May 2005 - Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children (Ms Harney) A new national cancer strategy is currently...being finalised by the National Cancer Forum, a multidisciplinary group of experts in oncology....relevant age group of 50 to 64 years in every county will have access to breast screening and follow up treatment...I recently gave approval to BreastCheck to advertise for the appointment of a design team to work up...Tender notices have already been advertised in the EU Journal to expedite this major project.

    9 Dec 2020 - Russell To address the Deputy's question about reviews, the review only starts after the diagnosis of cancer...In 2018, all of the women were told that they had a diagnosis of cancer once that information was available...It does not change the prognosis or the treatment for the woman She will have questions....She will ask why, when she had a screening test that was normal, does she now have cancer....That review is very important but it does not change prognoses or further treatments.
