    11 Nov 2021 - I raised the issue of electric scooters on Leaders' Questions recently....The Bill will classify electric scooters as powered personal transporters with a minimum design speed...I note it would be an offence under the Bill to supply an electric scooter to a person under the age...The use of electric scooters has become increasingly popular in Ireland....I will quickly comment on the other measures being introduced in this Bill.

    17 Nov 2021 - I have some constructive observations to make, specifically on the place of e-scooters in the Bill....It would mean free electric bikes for workers....I introduced an e-scooter Bill. I also produced a significant micro-mobility document....It has quite an emphasis on electric scooters. However, I do not think the Minister has listened....There should be a stand-alone Bill for e-scooters and I will explain why.
