12 May 2016 - Such closures cause additional stress and anxiety to those who use hostels....I refer in particular to homeless people who are presenting with mental health and addiction issues....When prisoners end up homeless after release the cycle continues....Is there much movement of homeless people out of hotels?...protection, with the result that figures on the number of homeless persons were not accurate.

12 Mar 2014 - Deputy Catherine Murphy I will confine myself in the main to homelessness....I have seen people stressed out and have had to refer them to Pieta House with suicide issues....Children can see the anxiety of parents who are out day and night looking for a roof over their heads...to be plenty of money, are being displaced onto the street by others who were never homeless before....The people worst hit by this crisis are families with children who constitute the new homeless.
