11 Feb 2010 - Senator Eugene Regan I thank the Minister for outlining this new Arbitration Bill, which is an effort...At the arbitration seminar in October 2008, which the Minister of State referred to, the Attorney General...Enactment of this Bill should be welcomed....The key point in the Bill concerns the distinction between domestic and international arbitration which...I welcome the Bill. I do not have any difficulties with it.

3 Feb 2010 - it is critical to have a clear statutory statement on the position of the arbitrator....It is quite clear where the arbitrator stands in his or her position as arbitrator...., which is the arbitration body attached to the International Chamber of Commerce....Its rules of arbitration provide for a general exclusion of liability whereby the arbitrators, the court...In 2008 alone, more than 650 requests for arbitration were filed with that court.
