ABSENT DEPUTIES, PRISONERS OF WAR, AND KIDNAPPED CHILDREN.

The HOME SECRETARY moved:—
"That a Select Committee be appointed to make a report on the imprisonment of absent Deputies and other Prisoners of War, and as to children kidnapped by English agents; the two internees in Reading and prisoners in Scotland; the Committee to consist of the three Members for Tipperary, COUNTESS MARKIEVICZ (St. Patrick's), E. BLYTHE (N. Monaghan). H. BOLAND (S. Roscommon), R.C. BARTON (West Wicklow), M. COLLINS (S. Cork), DR. HAYES (E. Limerick), E.J. DUGGAN (S. Meath), and SEAN MAC AN TSAOI (S. Monaghan)."
Seconded by J. DOLAN (Leitrim), put and agreed to.
The proposal of the PRIOMH-AIRE that the Committee of Action originally appointed by the Republican Party to deal with prisoners be ratified by the Dáil was passed with acclamation.
The following items were postponed to the next sitting in order that the New Ministry might be enabled to consider them:—
(a) The case for the Peace Conference and League of Nations.
(b) Motion as to draft of Constitution of the proposed League of Nations.
(c) Motion for message to S.T. O CEALLAIGH.
(d) Motion for message to Irish abroad.
