STATEMENT OF THE ACTING PRESIDENT. - FISHERIES.
"Proposals for the advancement of Irish Fisheries will be laid before you. At the present time the Irish Fisheries have the smallest yield of any maratime country in the world. Under the care of an English Department the yield has been steadily decreasing, while the yield from the English Fisheries has increased by £2,000,000 in value during the same period. The English Department is not going to help our Fisheries; it is bent on destroying them. We are now going to take practical steps to deal with the matter.
